PESHAWAR, Pakistan — Militants attacked a police checkpoint in northern Pakistan late Saturday, killing two officers and wounding one other, authorities stated.

Police officer Tariq Khan stated the gunmen fled after taking pictures three officers on the submit in Zardad Dahri, which is within the Charsadda district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. He stated two of the officers died earlier than reaching the hospital whereas the third was being handled.
